A sweet little book about making friends – at first glance. But this very unique children’s book has deeper messages.

This book has a moral about prejudices, family, and freedom of choice – all things that tend to be forgotten in alot of modern, sugar-coated, in-your-face storybooks. Touchy subjects, but handled nicely in this volume.

While I did not know *all* of the words in this book (yeah, I’m still learning), I did recognize almost all of them.

I would recommend this book, even though it is older. In some ways it reminds me of a self-published book, which is a format that I respect and admire (for those who get it right, there is alot of time and effort involved)!
